When I was looking in my newly acquired "Player's Guide to Faerun", it said that psionics works in dead magic zones, because the "magical" energy necessary to create the effect is drawn from the psionicist's body and mind, not the Weave or Shadow Weave. So does a psionic item work normally in Dead Magic Zones?

I don't see why not... Psionic items don't draw on the Weave, either.
