Posted - 17 Jan 2007 : 13:10:46 Due to the constant and sometimes messy forays into Vyshaan crypts in order to plunder their magic for Gromph Baenre. The party in my drow campaign has miffed a paticulary powerful member of the Olin Gisir by the name of Eiltria Ianis. Through her magic she has found the band of miscreants who in their last bout of tomb robbing recovered a powerful Vyshaan artifact called the Staff of Dark Sorrow. They are currently in route to the Sshmaath to hand the artifact off to one Gromph's trusted agents.
I am looking to make a group of npc's that are basically the Olin Gisir's hit squad. They are used to recover lost artifacts from parties who will use them for evil purposes and eliminate future threats from said parties by any means neccesary.
They must present a viable threat to my pc's so here they are
1. Arval LE Male Orog Ranger 12 2. Nilkah Aleudren CE Male Drow Fighter 5/ rogue 3/ Kyorlin Velve 4 3. Morel Mindshatter NE female Duergar Psion (Telepath) 6/ Ranger 1 / Illithid Slayer 5 4. Mourdar Myett CE Male Drow Fighter 2/ Wizard (evoker) 7/Magekiller3 Who also happens to be the youngest child of the Matron Mother of the House they all serve 5. Malageth Zaurahel CN Male Drow Bard 12 6. Saath Totherka LE Male Githyanki Psychic Warrior 8 /Elocator 4 7. Tazrak Myett CE Male Drow Cleric of Selvetarm 11/ Drow judicator 1 The leader of the party Tazrak has recently been given the house surname and been granted the title of noble for the sucesses of the band. If anyone wants background of the campaign it is on this site titled a minor drow house (sorry but I have no idea on how to provide a link to it)
So I was wondering if anyone had some interesting ideas for a strike force for the Olin Gisir that would give my pc's a run for their money.
Thanks In Advance |

Posted - 19 Jan 2007 : 13:49:05 Hmm interesting idea sending the Eldreth Veluuthra after my villianous pcs. I think that will work out very well and I plan to send out that cleric/warlock/eldricth dicsiple after them as well.
Thanks for all the ideas guys! |

Posted - 19 Jan 2007 : 04:28:16 How about if these elven-artifact rescuing bookworms employed those other elven protectors, the Eldreth Veluuthra? That way the Olin Gisir can send unsavory folk against unsavory folk. I would think that the EV would chomp at the bit to recover surface-elven artifacts from your drow party.
Perhaps throw a few high-powered Ranger/Justice of Weald and Woe at them, along with a mage, rogue, and maybe a spellsword?
I think it has all the makings of a legendary battle.... |

Posted - 18 Jan 2007 : 09:23:47 i know ... its just that your party is slightly lower than CR 16 ... so that we can use that as a guideline for how strong the enemies have to be :)
maybe give them as part of an enemy squard a CG 3 Cleric of Sheverash/4 Warlock /10 Eldritch Disciple ... say hello to a 7d6 cure from 250 feets away ... taken from turn attemts ... and casts spells (and turns undead) as an level 12 cleric and level 14 warlock :P |

Posted - 17 Jan 2007 : 14:18:21 Ummm... I'm stumped. Olin Gsir (sp?) are typically surface elves, are yours Drow? Their hit-squad, I note, are mostly underdark races. IMHO, the best Olin Gsae hit-squad would be a cell of hunters dedicated to Sheverash or Solonor Thelandria. |
