Posted - 03 Sep 2006 : 08:11:41 More to the point: Would you rule Slipshields are so effective that they render the wearer immune to True Seeing type effects? And similarly to Know Alignment/Detect Evil type magics?
Based on the in-story description of the item’s effect on its wearer in the novel Waterdeep (it allowed a character who had lost sight in one eye to see again from that eye when he assumed the form of a recently deceased friend) we see the changes it causes are quite absolute.
In the end, as we all know, it’s “...all up to the individual DM.” But I think a fair accounting of our opinions is nevertheless in order.
Thank you in advance!

I do not believe game designer stated the ability. |
