Does anyone think the two free PDF Al-Qadim campaign books ("Caravans" and "Corsairs of the Great Sea") are generic enough to be crammed into the Realms somewhere? Are they too sucky to bother (I haven't read them)?

I seem to recall that the Al-Qadim books say that one of the places they can be used is Zakharra, I don't think it actually says that Al-Qadim is Zakharra.

Anyway, I've used both of the modules you mention there and not had any problems (mind you, I've also used Ravenloft, Planescape and Greyhawk modules in the Realms so perhaps that doesn't mean much).

And the Kara-Tur stuff has the FR logo on it because it's a part of the Forgotten Realms, whereas Al-Qadim is not. I *guess* I can buy that.

No, it has an Al-Qadim logo because it is Al-Qadim...

It is. Perhaps I should have written: "one of the continents of Toril (which is Faerūn)...

I did not know that Al-Qadim was part of the FR world. I knew Maztica and Kara-Tur were, but I think Maztica is stupid, and Asian-culture RPGing does not appeal to me. I hardly ever cracked my Oriental Advenures book. The Al-Qadim stuff that WotC has on their website for free download doesn't have the FR logo on it.

The continent of Toril which is called Fearūn in north is called Zakhara in the south, the land of Al-Qadim, i.e. Al-Qadim is already a part of the Forgotten Realms, likewise is Kara-Tur and Maztica which have their own campaign settings as well.
