Posted - 01 Mar 2006 : 06:28:22 I used a leucrotta once in my Silver Marches campaign a few years ago.
On the way to Everlund, the party set up camp for the night, just off the road. The voice of a small child called to them in the night, faintly from deeper in the forest. "Mom! Mom! Where are you?!"
The party went to investigate. Not fully equipped as they had already bedded down for the night. So no armor, because you can't sleep in armor and you can't stop to put on armor when a child is in danger can you?
"I'm here!" cried the child. "Help me! I'm here!" he shouted from the darkness behind the bushes.
As the party drew closer they saw red eyes glowing from within the darkness... And then it sprang upon them.
A simple encounter, but it was scary and effective at the time. (They were still pretty low level at that point.)
By the way, Everlund offers a bounty for Leucrotta ears. I think 8 silver per ear, or something like that if I recall.

Posted - 28 Feb 2006 : 21:23:06 Thank you. It's an online game though, so no need for minis. I'll tell you how it turns out. |
