Another long term issue that the PCs have to deal with is the mechanations of a Chronomancer, a moon elf female that wants to remake Myth Drannor. She has already used the PCs to travel to the past once, but they saw what was going on and didn't complete the task, though she hasn't given up on them.

She has decided that since the PC cleric is a cleric of Helm, she will offer him a chance to find the Glass Mindsword of Murdane, an artifact that allows the weilder to add or subtract thoughts or memories to a subject. Whenever this is used, it takes the user to Murdane, which in this case means her corpse in the Astral.

At any rate, I was wondering if the artifact made sense, if it would tempt a Helmite, and if there would be any "Servant of the Fallen" type cults to Murdane running around.

Firhyanda, why would a "Holy Sword" of a Goddess of Pragmatism and Reason be Neutral Evil?
KnightErrantJR Posted - 26 Jan 2006 : 17:55:24
Well, actually, he is Lawful good, but a cleric. Still, he definately SHOULDN'T be altering anyone's mind, but the point is to make sure that there is a temptation there. They have a lot of enemies, and they have families, so they are getting paranoid about the proliferation of campaign villains. Of course, I admit my brain is still echoing me recent reading of Identity Crisis . . . at any rate, the psionic tie in is interesting, and for some goofy reason wasn't even what I was thinking of at first, but it does make a certain sense.

Greetings

Well in my IMHO any paladin of Healm that was interfering in someone else’s mind would become fallen. I do think a paladin would be tempted by something like this.I built an old fashioned magic sword with an ego gave it the mind feeder ability and tacked on the powers of a dominator psi crown it should work for the purposes of your campaign. I would not want a psi PC to get a hold of it though.
