Daggerspell Shapers are a prestige class in Complete Adventurer, basically melding some abilities of a druid and rogue, and letting them gain bonuses from their dagges in wildshapped form, as well as getting some sneak attack damage.

My druid player wants to take the prestige class, and I don't really have a problem with any of its abilities, am I just trying to figure out where the skills of this class would be taught.

I was thinking that wood elves in the High Forest might have some members that know these skills, though I don't know how well a human from Cormyr will get inroads with the wood elves in learning their skills.

The other option that I was thinking of was the Twilight Hall in Berdusk, and some of the Harpers associated with them. The PCs are starting to have some contact with the Harpers, so this should be possible.

Anyone familiar with this PrC? Do my suggestions make any sense, or should I be thinking along a different path? Does anyone else have any ideas on where practitioners of this PrC might be seen? Thanks all.

You know, nothing says that the Character in question couldnt be the First Daggerspell Shaper, maybe Meilikki was waiting for just the right time and person to gift her followers with such knowledge, and if this character has meet all the requierments, he might be the first visited with nightly dreams of training exercises that leads him to become the first 1st lvl Daggerspell Shaper Toril has ever seen.

This could be good for future hooks as well, say once he gets his 3rd lvl of DsSh then others might start looking for him to train them as a DsSh. The possabilitys going this rout are near endless.

The only one I can think of off hand is in Silverymoon, ran by a NG Cleric 10, quite a ways from where they are though. Not sure about other ones at the moment....

Well, they actually live in the Dalelands, but none of the described druid circles or individual druids really seem to lend themselves to having members that might have learned such hybrid abilities. The Harpers under Storm are more relaxed, and they don't seem to have regimented "we always go to X when we want to learn about Y" structure, its more like, whatever they learn, Storm directs their missions. The Harpers at Berdusk seem more likely to have trainers in specialized fields or the like.

I also thought it possible that Khelbun's Moonstars might have some Druid/Rogue crosstrainers. Does anyone know of a more organized religious site to Meilikki that might have such a character in residence. With Meilikki being the patron of good rangers and having good druids (and also being the PCs goddess) its seems like she would have some of these PrC somewhere, but not at small shrines or in more rural and relaxed areas.

Quite possably the Druidic circle of the Vilhon Reaches would have a few members that belong to this PrC.
Some other options aside from the ones you listed would be the Druids of the Great Dale, and maybe somewhere in the Dalelands.

Other then those places I cant recall off hand where any other Druid circles are located.
