Just looking for some input from my fellow scribes. In my upcoming adventure for my PCs, they are going into Anauroch to warn the Bedine about the Shadovar and the Zhentarim reaching a trade agreement that will hinge on the wiping out of the "vermin" and my PCs despite the Xenophobic nature of the Bedine, don't want to see any innocent tribemen slaughtered just to make it easier for the Zhents and Shadovar to work together.

The first part of the storyline that might be a bit off of cannon is my inclusion of a tribe of Bedine renegades that have been cast off from other tribes to form a tribe of their own. The tribe is composes of lots of sorcerers and favored souls, as well as dishonorable types. The renegade tribe has found the ruins of an old Netherese temple, and they now all venerate N'asir (Cyric). In the depths of the old temple is a prototype shadow mythallar that is not nearly as powerful as a full blown one, but one that the Shadovar want none the less.

The final bit that I wanted some feedback on is that I am introducing a tribe that has acted very close to the Desertsedge, raiding humanoids that wander the edge of the Stonelands and even working grudgingly with Cormyrean patrols. I am thinking of having one of the leaders of the tribe be swayed by the cleric of Helm in the group and possibly adopt the worship, and perhaps even the divine magic of, Helm.

I try to keep close to cannon, and I think that I can contain all of this within cannon. In the end its my Realms and I want to run most of the story as I have set, but if I can avoid pitfalls it would be great. So if any of my fellow scribes think that I might have potential problems with this storyline, or have any opinions or pointers, I would appreciate it.

I didn't even think of having the "good" tribe take over stewardship of the temple. Thanks.

The other issue that is going on is this: The Cult of the Sacred Skull is working with the PCs and the Harpers to drive a wedge between the Zhents and the Shadovar. They will hide the lesser Mythallar within the Zhent's camp while getting the Shadovar's attention, thus causing a fight. The harpers will then recover the lesser Mythallar from what's left of the Zhents.

KnightErrantJR, perhaps you could have the tribe that controls the oasis become allies of the PCs. Then together, they drive away the Shades and the Cyricist tribe from the old Netherese temple.

Also, since you said that you want one of theleaders of the "good" tribe to become a follower of Helm, have the God of Guardians charge his follower with the task of guarding that ancient temple from further probing.

Sorry, didn't make that clear, no, thats another tribe, the one that controls a nearby oasis.

KnightErrantJR, like you said, it's your campaign. The Realms should be there just for the basics and the settings, but you shouldn't restrict yourself to follow everything.

I like your campaign idea, especially the part about the old Netherese temple and N'asir.

I have a question though; is the tribe that is venerating Cyric you mentioned the same tribe that's raiding humanoids and working with Cormyrean patrols?
