Skeptic	Posted - 11 Feb 2005 : 19:41:33 What is the status of Firearms in 3/3.5 ? They were introduce in 2E Forgotten Realms Adventure, but, do they survived 3E ? If you use some, wich stats, rules, are you using ?

warlockco	Posted - 12 Feb 2005 : 04:48:21 Yes they do survive. In fact, some of the Regions start off with a pistol. Just use the rules for Renaissance weapons in the DMG. And instead of gunpowder, you use Smoke Powder, which is detailed in Magic of Faerun.
Kuje	Posted - 11 Feb 2005 : 21:05:50 Smokepowder is written up in 3e's Magic of Faerun. But make sure you get the errata because they changed the price in the errata. It also says to use the same rules that are in the 3e DMG for pistols and rifles. So that's mostly what I use. :)
