Does anybody have any info on the Farsea Marshes? The blurb in the FRCS says the ruins there predate the elves, and that the ruins are constructed of glass that's as strong as steel. Is there any more specific information anywhere?

I'm not sure that there is, but to spit out a few ideas ...

In my own campaign the Farsea Marsh has become the stomping ground for the long slumbering black wyrm Sha'harlegrauth.

As these ruins predate the elves, and are alluded to be a fit size for human habitation, ie. not too big, not too small, it would seem that they were created by time-travellers of some sort ... or perhaps by some roughly human sized beings who predated the elves, and who either lived alongside or predated the dragons and giants.

Perhaps the rumours are mere half-truths that spring out of the delirium of those who survive treks into the marsh? Perhaps there are ruins, but they are not glass? Maybe there are no ruins, and things just got confused with the Marsh of Tun?

I've always wanted to connect the Far Sea to Moander, who was known to have a cult in the southern Desertmouth mountains in ancient Netherese and/or Survivor States times.

I know that there is some brief information on the Farsea Marshes in Cormyr from 2nd edition. However, if I recall correctly, there was little additional information not found in the FRCS. The only part I remember is that both it and the Marsh of Tun were believed to be the seats of power for ancient civilizations.

Elminster's Ecologies that are available for free download might have more information.
