Might also want to consider the Improved Counterspell feat (which the domain with the * on it has for a Domain Power). 4) Druid who also focuses on spells like Insect Plague or the like on top of any other spells that help negate arcane magic. 5) Rogue who utilizes feats or (especially with levels in the Assassin or Blackguard PrC) poison to limit an arcanist's effectiveness at spellcasting. Ideal Special Abilities might include Improved Evasion and Slippery Mind. 6) Abjurer who focuses on spells from that school that help mitigate the effectiveness of enemy spells. Likely (also) has Improved Counterspell. Might want levels in Red Wizard of Thay from the DMG (if non-good aligned in an evil-aligned party) and/or Master Specialist ([u]Complete Mage[/u]).
