From the 2E adventure Beneath the Twisted Tower (Revised Box Set, Shadowdale book), there is a creature I cannot find anywhere else. The Moray Rat. Has anyone else seen this in any other D&D books, preferably in 3.5?

A dire rat with teeth that point inward, causing them to attach and, by way of that, blood drain. Grapple check or successful strike to remove. I think I am refereeing this as if you attempt to hit it off of you or another party member, if you miss, due to its size, you hit them.
DEFINITELY get that supplement. Tom Costa & Eric L. Boyd did 2 supplements that updated a lot of 2E monsters to 3.5E on Eric's site.

I don't have access to that supplement. I'm interested to know… in general, what are moray rats? I know of plague rats and dire (giant) rats. Are moray rats like moray eels? Electrocuting rats?

DUH! Never mind...found them. Thanks!

Name of the creature change? I didn't see them in the table of contents...

You want Tom Costa & Eric L. Boyd's Bestiary of the Realms Volume 2.
