It covers the whole process...
I also think that the process is in the Van Richten's Monstrous Hunter Compendium, Volume II...

Posted - 19 Feb 2004 : 10:02:08 The single best tome I've ever read that details the Lich, and the processes necessary to undergo the transformation is the 2e 'Ravenloft' tome Van Richten's Guide to Liches. It has all the complete details, and covers everything you will need for this character to enjoy the 'dark path' that is before him. It will require some conversion, but the results will be well worth it I can assure you.
Other than that, both Mongoose Publishing, and Green Ronin Publishing offer some very good books on Liches that will also detail everything (rules and fluff) you will require. The only bonus being they are already written in 3e stats.
