Posted - 25 Jan 2014 : 18:15:03 I'm working on an Aurilandur heresy, which essential is a heresy based pre-corruption Auril, for a 3.5 game. However, I came across a mentioning of a more benign variant of Auril-worship in Sossrim in RoF. Does anyone know anything more about it, or am I more "free" to work it how I want?

My opinion is that Alaphaer is the human name for this benign aspect of Auril. Aurilandur, "the Frost Sprite Queen" would be a name only commonly known among the fey.
On a related note: I named a river in the Frozen Forest the 'Alaphaer Run' in the adventure Monument of the Ancients [Dungeon magazine #170]. You can see it in the map of the Moonsea North on page 56.
