Posted - 29 Oct 2002 : 03:27:47 Does anyone know of a forgotten realms timeline that includes the most recent events covered in The War of the Spider Queen series?
A friend of mine without much net access is running a realms game set in the Dales, and wants to know this stuff so he can determine how the Drow in Cormanthor would react if they didn't have spells, etc.
If you could get back to me soon, I would most appreciate it. |

Thanks for trying to help out. |

Posted - 14 Nov 2002 : 13:54:05 You can pick up the Forgotten Realms 3ed manual for about 25 bucks.....it gives a vast volume of info on the Cormanthor Drow, who they are, what makes them tick.....
If you have any specific questions, post them and I would be happy to look them up for you (ie- who is in this position in the brigades? stats, ets.).
Much luck. |

Posted - 31 Oct 2002 : 00:50:10 I would love it if those helped me, thanks for trying.
I'm a college student, and my friend is a substitute teacher, so neither one of us have the ability to get all of that stuff.
I was more thinking in the form of an online timeline. I've looked, and I can't find a good one that has a description of events and stuff. |

Posted - 30 Oct 2002 : 07:43:52 The adventure module City of the Spider Queen does have an events timeline in it, however I have not been able to find a fixed date related to the events in the module. The timeline states that 60 days prior to when the adventure starts Lloth falls silent and does not grant spells to her priestesses, but no Dale-reckoning date. |

Posted - 30 Oct 2002 : 07:32:27 I haven’t read the series, but last night I went to take a look into the FRCS, the Lords of Darkness, Faiths & Pantheons and City of the Spider Queen. The only timeline references I’ve been able to find in a quick survey were in FRCS and F&P.
In the section describing Battledale on page 121 under the Abbey of the Sword the following entry: "...In 1371 DR, a strong force of Vhaeraunian drow, the vanguard of the Auzkovyn clan attacked the Abbey..." This is repeated in the entry on the Abbey of the Sword in F&P.
On page 125 in the section on the Cormanthor Drow the following reference: "...Around the same time as the Auzkovyn came through the portal beneath the Abbey of the Swords, House Jaelre drow found portals ... that led into sections of Cormanthor..."
Hope this helps to some degree. |
