My campaign is a Pathfinder campaign set in 1358 D.R., the Year of the Banner.

I've chosen to make Chessenta a lot like Conan, Gor, and Barsoom in one go! Basically the Chessentans saw Mulhorand expanding and they thought: if they can expand, so can we!

The idea of the campaign goes into a darker Chessenta. Where Gorean type slavery exists, and people wear outfits out of Conan (or not). Cimber is a Roman Republic. Anax has a Spartan Government, and Luthcheq is a Democracy gone mad. Of the major cities in Chessenta, Cimber is poised to build an Empire. Although the Republic doesn't want to, there are reasons to expand.

Cimber has a lot of bad debts with Sembia. The official line is that Sembia swindled the Republic out of a lot of money, and the Consuls of the Republic are arguing for pay back against Sembia (basically, they want to utterly raze Sembia's cities to the ground and salt Sembian earth). The Vilhon Reach has been causing problems lately, including the nations of Hlondeth.

And the Cimbrians are thinking of expanding into the Shaar. :)
