Hey, all.
I'll be joining a 20th-level 3.5 D&D FR elves campaign very soon. The basic premise is that in 1375 DR, a group of bored middle-aged elven nobles of Evermeet (all of whom adventured in their youth) decide to dust off their arms and armor and travel the world, seeking to recover lost elven artifacts and generally recapture the spice of life through living dangerously and fighting for a cause.
I'm just putting the finishing touches on my character, Vixenthia Durothil (Vixen, for short), and would like your help on deciding what feats she should take.
Her basic backstory is that although she's a noble, she's also a favored soul of Corellon Larethian. In her youth, she was a passionate idealist and spent time adventuring and fighting on behalf of the elven race in various places throughout Faerun. Eventually, she retired in luxury (thanks to her noble status and much treasure gained on adventures), and "entertained" an endless stream of ardent young lads and lasses at all hours of the night for many years (she's always been the subject of scandals and much shocked gossip among the nobility, much to her delight). But now she's tired of such, and wants to adventure and maybe do some good in the world again on behalf of elvenkind.
Roleplaying-wise, I'm going to have her be the comic relief in that she'll be an arrogant and snooty elitist even to the other noble elves in her party, but also have the libido of a teenage boy and be seductive and wanton in her behavior when encountering beautiful/handsome elves (thus living up to her nickname).
Roll-playing-wise, her stats/class/level breakdown is as follows:
(CG female sun elf favored soul 15/holy liberator 4/mystic wanderer 1)
Base stats: Str 14, Dex 16, Con 14, Int 18, Wis 13, Cha 23 (she's close to being middle-aged but isn't quite there yet).
Other than Iron Will (to qualify for both Holy Liberator and Mystic Wanderer), I don't know what feats to take. I want her to be really good in combat, being strong and fast, deft with her blade, and efficient in her spellcasting. As a favored soul, she's naturally good with a longsword, resistant to some energies, and has powerful divine magic at her disposal (her spells will basically be a mix of abjurations, buffs, divinations, healing, and maybe some summonings).
She'll be comical in that she'll insist she doesn't need to wear armor and will run around in beautiful gowns and jewelry (keeping herself clean and pristine with mending and prestidigitation spells), as well as wearing bracers of armor and rings of defense. That's where Mystic Wanderer comes in; it gives her a sacred bonus to AC equal to her Cha modifier. Also, her saving throws are extremely high, thanks to being a favored soul and the divine grace ability of the Holy Liberator.
She'll be able to summon weapons and items to use from extradimensional storage spaces she keeps around herself (what good is being wealthy if you don't use it?).
So that's what I have so far. Sorry it was so long-winded; I really like this character very much for the roleplaying opportunities, but I also don't want her to easily be killed, so any advice you guys can give on feats would be greatly appreciated.

Complete Devine has lots of good choices too, though I don't have it with me ATM.

I thought about using some BoED material with Vixen, but ultimately came to the conclusion it doesn't really fit how I see her character. As you guys noted, exatled feats having to do with peace and poverty aren't appropriate as she's deadly with a longsword, and doesn't lack for money.
I think I might just go with general combat and metamgic feats. The rest of her feats will probably be: Improved Initiative, Extend Spell, Pacticed Spellcaster, Quicken Spell, Rapid Spell (to get rid of the full round casting times on summon spells), and Rapid Metamagic. Do those sound like solid choices?

Rapid Spell isn't really necessary with Rapid Metamagic.
Rapid Spell reduces the spellcasting time of spells over 1-round, which I'm sure your not going to have too many of.

Improved Initiative is one of those feats that's awesome to have but questionable to choose, lol. I think if you really need it, then go for it.

Power Critical has seen little, if any, use in our campaigns. This is due to the fact that attacks that you make are usually high enough to strike without the +4 bonus or too low for the +4 to make a difference. I know you didn't chose this, but it was listed earlier and I wanted to touch base with this feat's limited use (from my own experiences).

Practiced Spellcaster is nice, but I'd use it to target your Holy Liberater spellcasting, not Favored Soul mainly because a CL above 15th level is only going to incrase the distance or possibly time of your spells and more importantly, beating Spell Resistance. But that only goes to CL 10, so I also might suggest Spell Penetration.

Also, since your divine in nature, you might want to take a look at feats from the Complete Champion and their Domain feats. You might meet the prereques for them even without having the ability to turn/rebuke undead.

Also, the Holy Liberator ueses the Paladin spell list so let me recommend Rhino's Rush spell in conjunction with your Smite Evil class feature and Power Attack. These all work wonders espically if you get the spell Radiant Aura (or the one that targets your weapons specifically). You can REALLY dish out some nice damage with charging, power attacking, smite evil-ing, and Rhino's Rush (double dmg on a charge attack).

Quicken Spell is really good and profitable for you with Rapid Metamagic. But I'd drop Extend Spell unless your choosing a lot of buff spells for yourself or your allies.

Also, might want to look at Extra Smite and a few other Smite feats they have out there. For a good list of feats with the exception of a few newer source books Crystalkeep.com is a great source of Spell and Feats and where the source comes from.

Works for me. I might cut back on the spell-related ones to add a few that give more flavor, but that's just me.

Well, some of them might not work, but Vow of Peace might fit, depending on her outlook on combat. Poverty would probably be right out since she's a noble and already mentioned as wealthy. I'm just tossing out some ideas.

Probelm with those feats are that they are VERY restricting and the best Vow feat is Vow of Poverty and normally only when used in conjunction with either a wizard/sorcerer or Monk.

2)Divine Might- this burns a turn attempt (of which you have 12/day) to add your Cha bonus to weapon damage for a number of rounds equal to your Cha bonus. Thus you get +9 Dmg for 9 rounds for each use, and

The Divine XXX" feats would be great, except that I don't see anything in the class description from Complete Divine that grants turn attempts.

Though after rereading the class description I would toss out Spellwise from my previous descriptions and get Spellcasting Prodigy instead.

Good catch IK. It might actually be worth taking a level of Cleric for just that.

Really, at this level, it's less about feats and more about items. She needs 1) Bracers of Armor +8 2) Ring of Protection +3, 3) Cloak of Charisma +6 (this adds to both spells/day and AC) 4) Periapt of Wisdom +4 (Favored Souls use Wis to determine the power of their spells, so your Wis determines the save DC for spells as well as adding to caster level checks- speaking of which, you want to switch your ability scores around: You put the 16 from Int in Wis, the 14 from Str in Int, and the 13 from Wis in Str. Thus your stats- with the above items- will be Str-13 Dx-16 Cn-14 Int-16 Wis-20 Ch-29 and a final AC of 33) and 5)a +2 keen Holy longsword

As far as feats go, you need 3 things: 1) Educated- This lets you take advantage of that high Int by having some Knowledge skills as class skills, 2)Divine Might- this burns a turn attempt (of which you have 12/day) to add your Cha bonus to weapon damage for a number of rounds equal to your Cha bonus. Thus you get +9 Dmg for 9 rounds for each use, and 3)Mobile Spellcaster, which lets you cast a spell with a casting time of <1 round as a move action (or combined with a move action)which means that you can run past downed party members and heal them as you move to close with the enemy in melee, or heal/buff yourself while running toward/away from a fight.

Are you using the flaws rules? That might give you some extra feats to play with. Some ideas for feats might be Discipline, Strong Soul, Combat Casting, Spontaneous Healer, or Education Hope this helps.
