I seen to recall reading somewhere that there was a group of Selune worshipping rangers, possibly fighting evil lycanthropes, but I can't find any reference to them in any of my books. Please tell me I haven't been imagining it.

You're likely thinking of the New Moon Pact. See the Mistress of the Night novel for details on the sect.
