I think I remember there being something similar in the Birthright boxed set, but that's all the way upstairs. Plus, I'd like to lean a little more Realms-specific.

I'm running a game in which one of the players is a Cormyran noble who has been granted a keep on the eastern edge of the Hullack forest, and a fair bit of in-game time is spent "fast-forwarding" between orders and while waiting for construction and other projects to be completed. I'd like to construct a sort of Random Encounter Table for events that might require a local lord's attention. Obviously, a certain percentage would go toward "Nothing of note occurs," but maybe you guys can help me with the rest. And maybe some of you could also get some use out of such a table.

I'll start.

1. There is a property dispute between two or more peasants or craftsmen.
2. A traveling cleric devoted to an under-observed deity arrives in the region and intends to establish a congregation.
3. Some workers request time off in order to celebrate a birth, marriage or religious rite.
4. An adventuring party comes to town to stock up before exploring a local ruin.
5. An adventuring party comes to town, anxious to unload a trophy or magical item from their latest conquest.
6. Hunters return from the local forest with tales of a ruin or monster.

9. A serving maid is pregnant, and claiming a noble father is responsible.
10. A local noble dies of old age.
11. A local noble is ill.

Market Day
1. The local alehouse(s) are serving bad ale (rather important considering that most people in a medieval setting drink ale rather than water because it is safer.)
2. A trader at the market has been caught using short measures.

4. There is a shortage of some luxury item at the market.
5. There is a shortage of an essential item at the market.

13. There is an unusually low number of people attending the market.
14. The local brothel/Prostitutes Guild is on strike.
15. A drunken brawl breaks out.
16. The usual market day bards are worse than ever.
17. A particular market day bard is singing a song that paints you in a bad light. (...to great applause?)
18. An illusionist/spell-caster has been using magic to create items that disappear a few hours after being sold.

Religious
1. Today is a local festival, e.g. well-dressing, crop-blessing, local spirit honoured.
2. The highest ranking cleric suggests you should attend temple more often.
3. The highest ranking cleric suggests you should make a donation to the temple.
4. A well-loved member of the clergy dies.
5. A well-loved member of the clergy is ill.
6. Someone is stealing from one of the temples.
7. A local shrine has been defaced.
8. A maiden/young woman/wife is pregnant and claims one of the clergy is the father.
9. A cleric is seen leaving/entering the local brothel. (Or is found unconscious there smelling strongly of ale.)
10. Uncertain omens are observed.
11. Bad omens are observed.
12. Good omens are observed.
13. A wedding is held.
14. A naming ceremony is held.

7. An abduction is committed.
8. There is a theft at a residence.
9. There is a spate of thefts.
10. Local statuary is defaced.
11. Slanderous graffiti about you appears.
12. There are a large number of cases to judge upon.
13. Someone is unhappy with your judgements.

1. A prolonged spell of hot weather.
2. A prolonged spell of cold weather.
3. A prolonged spell of rain.
4. A violent storm.
5. A meteorite falls in the neighbourhood.

I'll stop there, but there's probably lots more.
