I wasn't sure where to best post this scroll, so hopefully Dagnirion (Lord Karsus) finds it.
I was just wondering how close to completion the above-mentioned work is, given the "last post" dates on most chapters as listed here. Hopefully this link works; I haven't created one here before, and my HTML-related skills are suffering from serious disuse these days. 
Primarily, I'm wondering if the plan is still for PDF versions of all chapters with 3E-inspired cover art. If not, it would be a shame.  If there's anything I can do in specific chapters to help out, I have my 3E/3.5 sources (including the complete 274-359 run of Dragon) available; all of my pre-3E books (a ridiculous number thereof) and Dragon issues (51-273 in hard copy) are still far too far away from me. 
Anyway, that whole search was originally motivated by a desire for more information regarding Myth Adofaer. My guess is, all I'm going to find is [NDA]. I'm getting used to that now.  |

-That's okay.
-Instead of saving everything until the project was done 100%, I decided to release formatted chapters, in order for people to be able to use and reference that information. Chapters I, III, and VI have been completed, but Chapters II (Elven Realms), IV (Elven Organizations), and V (Elven Items) are still being worked on. Any help that you want to lend is always appreciated, whether it be writing articles, drawing a map, proofreading stuff, transcribing stuff, whatever. I take whatever help I can get. If you want to help, drop by the Realmsvault, where the actual project is, and where I will be doing my online message-board hanging out for the near future. |

Sorry, Dagnirion... I got distracted from this thread by a combination of RL work and other immediately speculation-inspiring Realmslore posts... and I'm addicted to speculation and Realmslore. All I really wanted to know was regarding the state of completion of the Elven Netbook as a whole, and release of future chapters in PDF as was done with Chapters I and III. If there's content-related work yet to be done involving 3.x material, I can help out, but as I mentioned earlier, I don't have access to my (vast collection of) 1E and 2E sources ATM.

-So, what's the question, exactly?
-About the art, I don't own it; WotC does. As such, I would not feel right utilizing things wholesale. Currently, I have a cover image, and holy symbol images, all credited to the original artists, but other than that, nothing, nor will I, unless I can get a hold of original artwork in which the artists give me permission. Concerning cartography, same thing. The only maps I'll have are the ones that MT had created specifically for the project (Evermeet), or ones that are relevant, that I'll ask about. For the time being, anyway.
-And, for future reference, it's best to contact me at the WotC boards. I was not aware of this thread until MT politely let me know. |

Heh. That might be difficult... after I told Wizbro what I thought of the Brave New Realms (TM) on those boards some weeks ago, they finally gave me something that I had asked for a week earlier after months of inactivity... and deactivated my account. After their responses to all of my product-related requests over the eight years between 3e and 4e, how was I to know that they'd actually listen to me for once? Oh well. I hadn't used my Wizboards account nearly enough to miss it, either way, and complaining about having my account closed when it was something I'd asked for strikes me as a wee bit hypocritical, even if they didn't act on my request until I expressed an opinion that they disagreed with. |
