Posted - 19 May 2009 : 01:11:47 I don't know if this was brought up somewhere before, but I was looking through Magic of Faerun and found that on page 21 under Spellcraft there is a task that states:
Draw a circle to increase caster level
With the DC being: 20 + 5 × increase of an area spell
What is this referring to? I can't find it in the book anywhere what this is exactly referring to. Thanks to anyone who knows the answer to this. |

Also what does "increase" mean? Per foot increase in radius? |

Posted - 20 May 2009 : 02:11:02 I believe either I, or someone else on his forums, posed the same question to Sean K Reynolds several years ago. The length of the sentence seemingly caused the text to shift its position on the table. As I recall it is supposed to read:
quote: Task: Draw a circle to increase caster level of an area spell
DC: 20 + 5 x increase
I am not sure if the inscribed circle needs to encompass the area of the spell itself, or merely its caster.
