Posted - 20 Apr 2009 : 22:23:47 Check around on campus for a possible RPG/Boardgaming club. I know there was a small club at Western Michigan (<50 members), a big club (100-150) that runs a yearly convention (small in the grand scheme of things) at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and I believe an organization (don't know size) exists at the University of Illinois. Those are the only three universities I have any experience with, and they all had a club of some kind. Perhaps your college has one as well. Your local game store would know of their existance.
Being at a college town, I'm sure you'll get a lot of hits at Nearbygamers.com as well.
You're likely in fertile terroritory to jump into a gaming group within the next week. =) Good luck!
PS: I'm suddenly missing college. =( |

Check with your local gaming store to find out when the next Game Day is going to take place.
Signup for a free account at http://nearbygamers.com/gamers Checkout gamers near you, see if any catch your interest, and attempt to contact them via the website.
Your local game store will be your best link to this world of gaming. If they have a gaming area set aside, visit on a Weekday.
How old are you? Do you have your own transportation? Are you in college?
19,yes,and yes |

A few questions: Do you know people in your area who play? If not, is there a local gaming store you could visit? There are usually postings for people looking to form groups, or the store owner may be able to put you in contact with someone. Do you have the Player's Handbook for any of the editions? Do you have a preference for an edition?
