I'm pondering the outsiders known as the Keepers, as found in the Fiend Folio and in an "Ecology of the" article in Dragon mag #353. Specifically, I'm going to have a small group of them after my 1370 DR party once they liberate some lore from the ruins of Myth Drannor, while still in the city.
Any thoughts on where in the Realms (or its cosmology) fellow DM's have placed them? |

In actuality, these creatures don't seem quite as Realms-esque as some other monsters in the book could be. They seem more Eberron stylized to me (all buckle, no swash).
If you can get over the fact that they might not fit in a somewhat good-aligned plane, Keepers would make interesting, if somewhat conflicted, servants of either Gond or Oghma.
All the best. |

I think Ranak may actually be referring to the Seekers, an organisation of knowledge gatherers in Wildspace, and referenced in the SPELLJAMMER setting.
The Keepers are one of the creatures originally detailed in the Planescape Monstrous Compendium II.

Once again, The Sage is right. Going through the books, I forgot how wonderful the art style for Planescape was...half-whimsical and half-photorealism.
That said, any suggestions for having Keepers in the Realms proper? |

I don't have my FF handy, but if memory serves me correctly, in second edition (ancient history, I know) they originally appeared in the Spelljammer set.
Not to me. I pull from both 2nd and 3rd Editions. ~_^ Makes sense, given the flavor. Any other suggestions or interpretations, scribes? |

I imagine they would also be in any of the port cities or major trading cities where they might be able to acquire. For example, I bet there would be a group of them in Skullport (ties in well with Spelljammer lore to boot, Waterdeep, etc.)
