I'm trying to compile a list of adventure modules published by TSR, WotC and any in Dungeon magazine (2ed and 3.x) that were set in the Dalelands, which I include Myth Drannor or any adventure that starts elsewhere but where the main action happens in the Dalelands.

Also a chronology of the modules linked together on where they should begin or end.

So far I've only got these...

1. Doom of Daggerdale
2. Sword of the Dale
3. Return of Randal Morn
4. Raiders of Galath's Roost
5. Woe to Mistledale
6. Pool of Radiance: Attack on Myth Drannor
7. Shadowdale: Scourcing of the Land
8. Curse of the Azure Bonds
9. City of the Spider Queen

Can I get any help in completing the list and where it should be placed in the timeline ?

You can add 'The Servants of the Verdant Cloud' from Draconomicon (2nd ed) which is set in the Elven Woods.
In general, I was surprised as to how few I could find - I expected to find a lot more from this area.

Skip Williams, "Secrets of the Arch Wood" (Dungeon #121)

Ed's FRE modules are valuable for much more than their plots.

Originally posted by freyarFunny, I first heard about FR b/c some friends played their way through the ToT modules. I ended up with the books, and I've always wanted to run them (if I can un-railroad them) just 'cause, well, you get a wish at the end.

The funny thing about those modules and the books is that they're named after where the characters are going, so most of the plot takes place elsewhere. So if the modules have 5-6 chapters each, probably only the last 1-2 are in Shadowdale, Tantras, and Waterdeep respectively.

Indeed. I did read the novels, and the two that are related to the ToT novels, but over the years I've forgotten what happened in them. Oddly, I do recall what happened in Ed's trilogy that tied in with them. Of course, I enjoyed the Knights Three better then those idiot npcs that became deities. :)

As for the wish.... hahah. I prefer the old rules about wishes so wishes aren't always in the PC's favor. :)

Ah. I have them but since I never used the ToT's I tend to forgot what is in those modules. Plus, I blocked that event out of my memories. HAHA.

Plus the Shadowdale Time of Troubles module.

The Tantras ToT module is probably more than 1/2 in the Dales/Cormanthor forest.

Also, Roger E. Moore has compiled a list of FORGOTTEN REALMS modules that have appeared in DUNGEON, titled the "FORGOTTEN REALMS Campaign Index, Part 1." It lists all the articles that have appeared in DUNGEON from September/October 1986 through to January/February 1996. You'll find it here at the WotC site.

Heh. I was referencing some of the very old DUNGEON adventures set in the Dalelands the other day. Here's my partial [and incomplete] listing:-

#29 "Nymph's Reward"
#29 "'Til Death Do Us Part"
#30 "Elminster's Back Door"
#34 "Euphoria Horrors"

There's also the Shadowdale booklet from the 2e campaign box set since it has that Shadowdale adventure in the Shadowdale booklet. Plus the Ruins of Myth Drannor box set because of the module booklet in it. Also, the Ruins of Zhent Keep has a mini adventure in its module booklet that's set around the Dalelands.

I suppose you could also consider The Fall of Myth Drannor as an adventure module.... I dunno, maybe. :)

Plus the Shadowdale Time of Troubles module.

The three Marco Volo modules:

Marco Volo Departure
Marco Volo Journey
Marco Volo Arrival

And the Secret of Spiderhaunt module.

It's been a long time since I looked up dates for these, so not sure what dates they have.
