Depsite the several problems I have with the FR cosmology, I feel that PGtF did a well enough job covering the planes for the setting. It's unlikely that we'll see a Realms-specific MotP.
Although, I wouldn't be completely adverse to the whole idea...

As I stated earlier, from the information I've learned, there will likely be no fiends detailed in the two tomes you've mentioned above. There's plenty of undead to fill the pages of the LM, and just detailing illithid society will likely take a huge chunk of pages in the CA.
The Fiend Lords supplement looks to be WotC only fiend-only tome.

Rich B said that his 2ed Slaad from Prison of the Flamebringer and Kezef, Dendar and that Elf Eating thing from Evermeet will be getting stated some time next year
I wonder if the 2 books are
1)A Generic Draconomicon type book for Devils, Demons and Yuggoloths
and
2) An FR Manual of the Planes (which would have Dendar, Eltab tc) |

Not surprising. I wonder if they will be of the same high quality that Draconomicron was?
Thanks for sharing the news. |

Posted - 21 Aug 2004 : 11:28:32 I rather doubt that both the baatezu and the tanar'ri will be major focuses for both of these tomes. In fact, they probably won't be included at all.
LM deals with the undead mostly, while CA details the various aberration-type creatures, which include the aboleth, mind flayers, and beholders to name a few... I hope this means we'll be seeing more detailing on the Far Realm...
The fiends are supposedly believed to have their own tome scheduled for release late next year. No confirmation on the title, or the author of said tome has been announced yet, but I believe it's safe to assume that Cordell will be involved.
