Posted - 09 Jul 2004 : 16:26:26 I'm surprised they seriously considered the idea that the Queen of the Demonweb Pits novelization affected Realms continuity. Not only are Realms-Lolth and Greyhawk-Lolth not the same (and weren't in 2nd edition), not only are the settings even more separated in 3E, but the novel isn't even part of official Greyhawk continuity in so far as there currently is one, and if it was the correlation of Toril and Oerth years means its effects would have been felt decades earlier in the Realms timeline!
And the Watercourse trilogy sounds like another damn RSE that, if the canal is successful, will make the Realms more modern and linked-up and less wild and fantastic. |
