The fine folks at Artyfakes have created a set of armor based on Kitiara's dragonrider gear.

They're working on a 16ft version of Kitiara's dragon, too.

Amazing work.

Oh man, yeah I love that teaser. That is awesome. I haven't been to a con in couple years. I think gencon and dragoncon will be on my schedule this year.

It looks CG to me as well but is still an awesome display. Count me in on the Lord Soth and Solamnic armor as well (would love to see a Knight of the Rose costume).

Oh wow that teaser vid was friggin' kewl.

Here's a teaser from Artyfakes on youtube.

Why do you think it looks CG? PS anyone else thinking they should focus their efforts on the Alias armor? :P

It does look CG. I have no way of knowing of the image was touched up or not.

The Artyfakes Facebook page has some photos and videos of their costume making process. That dragon they're building is quite a project.

I don't know if it's this screen but that looks like a CG model to me.

Wow that is an amazing costume! I am not fan of a Dragonlance fan but I was till blown away.

That is freaking awesome. I'd really love to see how they do this. I enjoyed watching that syfy series "heroes of cosplay". It really makes me wish there were more conventions in my area.

I definitely don't see Kitiara's armor there. Still its badass. For me Kitiara is as Clyde Caldwell made her in Hands of Doom with Lord Soth (count me in on seeing that armor made, btw)... no feminine boob armor for her :) That painting is on this page somewhere :

It might seem that way, Ayrik, but the artificers have definitely captured the basic design of Kitara's armour as illustrated superbly by the Master Elmore.

This is a fantastic effort, and I wouldn't mind seeing Artyfakes try their armoury hands at forging Lord Soth's definitive armour-style, as Eilserus suggested. Or even that worn by the infamous Ariakas.

Oooo! Oooo! Solamnic plate armour. Now that would be something to see.

An impressive costume, but I can‘t help thinking that it‘s inspired more by Blizzard than by Dragonlance cover art.

Very cool! I wouldn't mind seeing a Lord Soth. :)
