With the recent discussion about the Dragon Disciple PrC, and dragons in general, I thought that those of you who participated in that scroll, may find the latest Character Closeup - Akiko, the Dragon-Born posted at WotC - interesting.

That occurs a lot with the 'Character Closeups'. Little things - such as the familiar swap as you say - are always apparent in most of the write-ups. I think it is left open for the DM to address.

Interesting story line. A pretty good attempt at justifying the PrC, too -- at least as a roleplaying option. It's far from a good game class though.

I noticed that there was no explanation as to why she switched familiars . . . .
